SBA and bank loans. Depending upon the size of the anticipated loan, the bank’s own underwriting requirements, and whether or not the loan qualifies for SBA financing, a valuation may or may not be required. Cirrus understands the SBA’s special reporting requirements, and is highly qualified to prepare these specialty valuations.

401(k) Loans/Investments. Small business owners often finance startup businesses by borrowing from their own companies’ 401(k) plans, or by having those plans invest directly in their business. Initial, annual, and/or final valuations are sometimes required for this purpose in order to satisfy IRS reporting requirements.
